Thank you in advance for your support!

Thank you so much for partnering with us to offer resources and programs addressing the Greater Amarillo Foster Family’s unique challenges and providing essential resources for their well-being.

About Our Organization:

The Greater Amarillo Foster Parent Association (GAFPA) was founded in 1976 as a 501 (c) (3) non prfit corporation to meet the unique needs of foster families in the Texas Panhandle. We understand the profound impact of separation, loss, and trauma on children and youth in foster care, kinship, and adoption. That is why we extend our support to help families address special needs, strengthen relationships, and deepen attachment and bonding resulting from foster care and adoption.

Our Mission:

This organization serves as a bridge of support between foster and adoptive parents, agency personnel, interested citizens, and the community. Our goal is to meet the needs of foster and adoptive children beyond what the foster care system provides. With a focus on building stronger connections, we play a vital role in the well-being of children and families in our community.

Impactful Initiatives:

Each year, GAFPA serves over 100 foster and adoptive children, thanks to the incredible support of our donors. This support enables us to offer resources and programs addressing these family’s unique challenges and providing essential resources for their well-being.
